*The site is now live!!!*

*The new site design is now finished!! I am currently working on transferring all of the content from the site over to the new template!  This may take some time as I really just have to recode all of the tutorials and such.  Please be patient as I work as hard as I can on this!  I will get the new site online as soon as possible!*

Our Goal
To create a new theme for the website http://willstech.org/ that is appealing to users and guaranteed to be compatible with the Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Opera, Apple Safari, Flock, Seamonkey, and Google Chrome browsers. Our secondary goal is to learn the concepts of web design more thoroughly!

12:36pm – Opera noticed to be using @font-face only occasionally.  This is okay as Comic Sans MS as a secondary font seems to look well.
2:02pm – Buttons added to site, however do not hover in Firefox
2:10pm – All buttons linked to their respective places
2:12pm – COMPATIBILITY CHECK: All features working in all browsers noted except button hovers in Firefox
2:22pm – Buttons lined up next to each other on one line

5:15pm – Footer box drawn (footer.htm)

This is the changelog for the new Will’s Tech design.  We are working on the design and it will be up as soon as we are finished with it and have tested everything and make sure that everything works!

We are trying to make this as cross-browser compatible as possible, and we have a list of browsers that we are supporting above.  If you use a different browser or know of a browser that isn’t listed, please tell us below!  This is our need of help from you!  Thanks!

I know and have realized that the site is having some major troubles with links and graphics.  I am working with a friend to somewhat redesign the site and hopefully help it become more efficient as well as a better experience for all of you!  Please be patient with us as we work on this as it is somewhat unknown territory to both of us!

First of all, happy 2010 everyone!!  Let’s hope that this will be a great new year as well as a very prosperous one!

Now, I have a few plans in store for Will’s Tech in the coming year, and the first one is already completed!  I finally have the new domain, http://willstech.org/!  I have worked with some coding in files on the site, and I can assure you that you don’t have to worry about any links breaking from http://willtech.co.cc/ as all links are now connected to http://willstech.org/!  What that means is that if you type in http://willtech.co.cc/mpcs/ (for example), it will take you to http://willstech.org/mpcs/!  Isn’t that great!

The second thing that is coming up are a few new tutorials!  I know that I have promised a few tutorials since, well, almost since the website was started.  I hope to (and will) work on and finish these tutorials as soon as possible!  If you think that there would be a good tutorial to tell me about, please tell me here.

The third thing that will happen this year will be the ability to add your own works on this site!  At some point in the future this year, I will reach out to you (the community) to help me out a little bit by writing some tutorials for my site or just to showcase off works that you have written!  Be on the lookout for that sometime this year! *All works must be tutorials containing to computers/technology that have not been posted on another website or forum *All works must be original and attributed in any manner nessecary

The fourth thing that is in the works is possibly a new look and form of updating the website.  I have been working with the blog a little bit (and I know it looks kind of ugly right now), but I think that if I can find the perfect look on the blog, then I might just make the blog the website!

That just about wraps up the list for what will happen this year!  See you all soon!

I am messing around with some new looks for the Blog (and am considering just making the blog the main site). Please bear with me as the colors may look bad until I fix them, and some things may not work.

Okay, I have several things to say, and they are all pretty exciting!

1. Check out the new look of the blog! I played around with some colors and think that I might be on to something, but please leave some constructive criticism below in the comments!
2. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
3. The same trusted and generous friend that has allowed me to host on his servers is also giving me a new domain! Please look out for http://willtech.org/ between Christmas day and the 27th!
4. I hope to start writing more again. I seem to have lost the main one that I was working on and hope to find it soon, so there may be a delay, but I will get another one out soon!

I now have the site hosted on a trusted friend’s hosting. This is paid hosting, so it will remove all of the restrictions that I had before! The main differences are increased speed and up-time, as well as me being able to host files on my server. Thanks for sticking with me! I have added a featured section on the home page where I will put programs, videos, articles, and anything else I think that is interesting there!  Enjoy!

I have also finished off the new My Computer is Slow tutorial!  The new one has completely free programs and does the same job!  Enjoy!

I have finally gotten access to my files back! Yay!!! I have since fixed the Contact page as well as updated the home page! I will work on the revised version of My Computer Is Slow right now! Keep your ears open for anything new!

Okay, first of all, the site has been down for about 2 hours.  This was my web host’s fault so it was out of my hands and I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.  I do not have access to any of my files as of yet, but it should all be back online soon.  I am contacting support constantly about this and they have been good about responding.

Secondly, I have just realized that the contact page for my site has been down for some time now.  I have since then fixed it and will put the new page up as soon as I can get access to my site’s files again.  If the contact page ever goes down again, please just leave a comment on any post on the blog.

Thirdly, I am currently working on the new version of My Computer is Slow!  The finished version should be up soon (Saturday-ish).  I will keep the old version and will leave it as secondary links in the tutorial.
